ETC ConnectExpanding the Culture

Ideas, with their context intact

Connect the work.
Keep the evidence.

ETC Connect brings ideas, documents, images, and plans into a shared story—while keeping their sources, changes, and open questions visible.

Public directory release in preparation.
The current package contains 18 skills. The first public plugin release is planned to be free and available in the United States only. ETC Connect has not yet been approved or made available in the public directory.

A source-grounded process

Sources

Keep the original material and its context.

Evidence

Show what supports each connection.

Next action

Carry the findings into a useful step.

Conceptual workflow. A source must be inspected before its contents can support a finding; a search result alone is not verification.

From scattered material
to connected work.

The skills guide an assistant through research and creative work. You choose the materials and available tools; the workflow keeps the reasoning traceable.

Find and understand

Review authorized sources, trace how an idea developed, and distinguish inspected material from gaps that still need attention.

Connect and explain

Relate findings, compare references, and develop illustrated notebooks and visual explanations with clear source context.

Carry the work forward

Turn research into an action, prepare a project handoff, and resume from a verified checkpoint while preserving earlier versions.

A skill provides workflow instructions. It does not grant access to your files or accounts. Available access depends on the host assistant and the tools or connectors you separately authorize.

Three evidence tools.
Clear limits.

The evidence service preview adds direct checks to ETC Connect’s 18 skills. It calculates results from the text and review declarations supplied in each request.

Verify quotations

Compare a quotation with supplied source text or a selected line range. An exact match checks the words; it does not establish that a source is authentic or a claim is true.

Find coverage gaps

Merge declared ranges of pages, lines, or items and show what is missing. The result checks the ranges you provide, not whether someone actually reviewed them.

Apply precise corrections

Return an original and revised copy using exact, unique, nonoverlapping replacements. The tool does not save a file, delete an original, or store a preference.

The evidence preview runs fixed fictional examples without accepting personal text. Using the connected tools with your own inputs requires sign-in. The preview is separate from public directory approval. Read the privacy policy for the service’s data practices.

An illustrative starting point

Keep the question
connected to its sources.

“Connect these project notes and references. Show what changed, what supports the main idea, and what I should check next.”
  1. Inspect the materialIdentify which sources are accessible, which have been read, and which remain unavailable.
  2. Build the explanationSeparate source-backed findings from interpretation and preserve the user’s wording where it matters.
  3. Leave a useful checkpointRecord the findings, unresolved questions, and next action so the work can continue.

This example describes the intended workflow, not a guarantee of an assistant’s output. Check important conclusions against the original material.
